The test is comprised of two components:1) a Continuous Performance Test (CPT), measuring sustained attention and impulsivity. Takes approximately 18 minutes to complete; 2) an ADHD symptoms inventory completed by the person being tested or the parent of the child being tested. The inventory is comprised of 18 items based on the diagnostic criteria for ADHD described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for mental disorders (DSM-IV) of the American Psychiatric Association. The test's reliability, validity and the age-related norms have been established and supported by large scale research.
